04.11.2019

The Portland Water District is providing two opportunities to learn about water treatment and protection during National Drinking Water Week.

Visit a local brewery to learn about the connection between forests, water, and beer

A dozen local breweries are joining the Portland Water District to celebrate National Drinking Water Week by showing beautiful presentations and sharing information about forests, water, and beer.

Visit https://www.pwd.org/national-drinking-water-week-may-5-11 for a full schedule of the offerings.

Participating Breweries: Allagash Brewing Company, Austin Street Brewery, Definitive Brewing Company, Foulmouthed Brewing, Foundation Brewing Company, Geary Brewing Company, Goodfire Brewing Company, Gritty McDuff’s Brewing Company, Lone Pine Brewing Company, Rising Tide Brewing Company, and Sebago Brewing Company.

This event is being organized with Sebago Clean Waters (SCW). Because forests are critical to protecting water quality our goal is to increase the conserved land in the watershed from 10% currently to 25% in the next 15 years.  For more information, visit www.sebagocleanwaters.org
