Portland Water District’s Crystal Cooper and Evan Johnson recently completed an 8-month long Wastewater Operator School offered through JETCC in conjunction with Maine Department of Environmental Protection and Maine Water Environment Association. Both work at the East End Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Portland Water District begins spring flushing program

Water main maintenance began in Windham and Falmouth this week, and will move to other cities and towns later. Maintenance flushing activities will occur during business hours, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
