Portland Water District is hosting a FREE snowshoe trek through the Sebago Lake Land Reserve and out to Sebago Lake as part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend (www.greatmaineoutdoorweekend.org)
Recently the Portland Water District’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved a combined $39 million water and wastewater operating budget which represents a 1.9% increase over 2014.
Yesterday the Portland Water District Board of Trustees awarded the 2014 Joseph A. DiPietro Memorial Scholarship to Corey Bryant of Portland. Bryant is pursuing a degree in environmental science at the University of Southern Maine.
Deering Street is closed to through traffic, between High and Avon Streets, while Portland Water District crews make repairs to the water main. Also on-street parking will not be available between Deering Place and Henry Street.
The Portland Water District was recently awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

Public Water Customers In Cumberland May Experience Water Pressure Fluctuations

Due to scheduled water pressure flow tests, Portland Water District customers in Cumberland Center and West Cumberland areas may experience changes in water pressure on Thursday, November 20, from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. on November 21.
