Recently both major credit rating agencies announced upgrades to the Portland Water District’s (PWD) bond rating. The upgrades reflect consistent practices of well-managed financial operations particularly in debt service and liquidity. 
Beginning May 5, the Portland Water District will replace nearly 400 feet of water main on York Street near the intersection of High Street in Portland. The project is expected to last up to three weeks and will detour southbound
Water main maintenance began in Raymond, Steep Falls, Standish, Gorham, and Peaks Island on March 14 and will last approximately 4 weeks. Maintenance will occur during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
The General Manager’s Succession Planning Committee will meet on Monday, February 15, 2016 in the General Manager’s Conference Room at the offices of the Portland Water District, 225 Douglass Street, Portland, starting at 9:00 a.m.
