Portland Water District Seeks Applications For 2024 Water Bottle Filling Fountain Grants

Applications for 2024 Water Bottle Filling Fountain Grants are now being accepted. The grant program offers free water bottle-filling fountains to local entities. Over the past ten years, PWD has awarded more than $69,000 to support the installation of 44 Water Bottle Filling Fountains through its grant program.

Water bottle-filling fountains provide touch free, sanitary access to Greater Portland's excellent tap water. Applications are due October 31. Complete criteria and eligibility requirements and the application can be found online, www.pwd.org/water-bottle-filling-station-grants. Preference will be given to those organizations that provide the largest exposure and benefit for public use. 

A new Water Bottle Filling Fountain Graphic was installed at the Casco Bay Lines Terminal. We have partnered with Casco Bay Lines to celebrate Greater Portland's safe, clean, refreshing tap water, which is truly iconic of the Maine brand. This fountain is one of the first installations in 2014 under our water bottle-filling fountain grant program.
