I changed my mind, I want to receive a paper bill in the mail instead of the on-line, paperless option. How can I make this change?

  • Select the MyOnlineBill link at the PWD Home Page.
  • Sign in and select the Manage Account Tab at the top of the screen.
  • Then select the Update User Detail Tab.
  • Click on Update Go Paperless. In the Action Column, click Disable. The Disable status means you are set up to receive paper bills in the mail. Even though you will begin receiving paper bills, you can still view your bill on-line any time you choose. We will continue sending monthly emails to let you know when your bill is ready to view.

If I want to receive a paperless bill, or just view my bill on-line, do I have to participate in the automatic or one-time payment program?

No, but you must set-up a MyOnlineBill account by clicking on the MyOnlineBill link on the PWD home page. Click the red Account set-up button and follow the prompts. You will need a PWD bill for each account you wish to view.

Do you accept credit and debit card payments?

We accept Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card payments online.  Online payments can also be withdrawn from your checking or savings account. We accept checks or money orders if payments are mailed.  We accept checks, cash or money orders if payments are made in person at our local office at 225 Douglass Street in Portland, Maine 04102. 

I use PWD’s MyOnlineBill service and forgot my password. What should I do?

  • Select the MyOnlineBill link on the PWD Home Page.
  • At the Sign In Tab, click on Forgot My Password?
  • You will be prompted to enter your PWD account number
  • Your Security Question will be displayed and you will be prompted to enter
  • your Security Answer
  • Your temporary password will be sent to your MyOnlineBill email address
  • You must change your temporary password when you sign in again

I use PWD’s MyOnlineBill service and forgot my username. What should I do?

  • Select the MyOnlineBill link on the PWD Home Page.
  • At the Sign In Tab, click on Forgot My Username?
  • You will be prompted to enter your PWD account number
  • Your Security Question will be displayed and you will be prompted to enter
  • your Security Answer
  • Your username will be sent to your MyOnlineBill email address

I use PWD's MyOnlineBill service and want to change my personal information (email address and/or password). What should I do?

  • Select the MyOnlineBill link on the PWD Home Page to sign in.
  • Select the Manage Account Tab at the top of the screen.
  • Then select the Update User Detail Tab to change your email address or your password.
  • Click the red Save/Update Button to confirm the change. The updated information will be sent to your email address.

I use PWD's MyOnlineBill service and forgot my Security Question and Answer. What should I do?

To ensure the security of your information, we will not email your security question and answer. You will have to call PWD and speak with a customer service representative so we can verify your identity. The PWD telephone number is 207-761-8310. A representative is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

I use PWD's MyOnlineBill service and would like to change my security question and answer or my username. What should I do?

Your Security Question/Answer and your Username were established when you registered and cannot be changed. They ensure you are the only person who has access to your online information.

If I am already enrolled in the Direct Payment Program, do I have to register for PWD's MyOnlineBill program to continue having my payments automatically deducted?

No. Customers who enrolled in PWD’s Direct Payment Program are still eligible for monthly, automatic payment. However, to receive the benefit of viewing your bills online or to sign up for paperless bills, we encourage you to select the MyOnlineBill link at PWD’s website to set up an account.

I’ve read PWD’s Frequently Asked Questions about MyOnlineBill but still need assistance. What should I do?

For additional email assistance, click the Request Support Button at the top of this page. Enter the required information and describe the problem. Click the Send Email Button. You will receive an email response the next business day.
