James Wallace
Director of Water Services
James Wallace has been employed with the Portland Water District since 1988. After holding the position of water plant and systems manager, he was promoted to Director of Water Services.
Before joining the District, Wallace worked as maintenance manager at the Humpty Dumpty Potato Chip Company in Scarborough.
Wallace has a degree in electro-mechanical technology from Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute and retains the highest level of water industry certification, grade 4 water distribution and treatment licenses. He also holds a grade 2 wastewater collection certificate.
