Boil Water Order LIFTED Bridgton Road (#780 – #978), Stagecoach Ln, Callaway Dr, Westbrook, 2/6/26
Customers can now use their tap water for all purposes. The boil water order is lifted as of 8:00 a.m. on February 6, 2026. All water tests indicate the water is safe to drink without boiling.
2/4/26 10:00 p.m. Due to a water main break, the Portland Water District has issued a precautionary Boil Water Order for Bridgton Rd. between addresses #780 – 978, Stagecoach Ln. and Callaway Drive in Westbrook, Maine.
The boil order is in effect immediately.
As a precaution, consumers are directed to boil water for 1 minute at a rolling boil before
- Drinking
- Washing food
- Making ice cubes
- Brushing teeth
- Or in any other activity involving consumption
Boiling water kills bacteria and other organisms that could potentially be in the water.
This Order shall remain in effect until further notice. Water samples will be collected, and results will be available in approximately 24 hours.
