Portland Water District’s Board of Trustees unanimously approved a combined $55.5 million water and wastewater operating budget and a $23.1 million capital budget for 2023 at the November 28, 2022, meeting.
The Portland Water District is encouraging write-in candidate campaigns for an open seat representing Gorham on the Board of Trustees. There will be no candidates listed on the November 8 ballot for the seat which is up for election.
Earlier this month, the Portland Water District collected samples and shipped them to Verily Life Sciences, expanding its wastewater epidemiology testing to include monkeypox, influenza A and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
Periodically we have noticed delays in receiving some water bill payments through the mail. We continue to work with the post office to investigate the causes.
