Rodriguez, Portland, completes Management Candidate School.

Recently Christian Rodriguez of Portland, utility asset coordinator at the Portland Water District, successfully completed a 12-month Management Candidate School (MCS) for water and water pollution control professionals. The MCS was established in 2009 to provide intensive training, networking and skill-development coursework necessary to prepare the next generation of industry leaders. The curriculum includes personnel management, supervisory skills, labor relations, budgeting and engineering basics. The MCS is coordinated by the Maine Joint Environmental Training Coordinating Committee with support from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Maine Wastewater Control Association and Maine Water Utilities Association.
