Re: Portland Water District Proposal to Request Exemptions from Certain Regulatory Requirements
The Portland Water District will hold a public hearing pursuant to 35-A MRSA §6114 and Chapter 615 of the Rules of the Maine Public Utilities Commission, on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jeff P. Nixon Development Center, 225 Douglass Street, Portland, Maine. The purpose of the hearing is to review the District’s proposal to request exemptions from certain PUC Rules and Maine Statutes as provided by 35-A MRSA §6114.
Customers have the right to an open and fair hearing before the Board of Trustees on the District’s proposal. In addition, the public may file comments with the Public Utilities Commission at State House Station #18, Augusta, ME 04333-0018, on or before July 6, 2015.
Materials supporting the proposal are available at the District's office, 225 Douglass Street, Portland, Monday — Friday (excluding holidays) between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Customers have the right and are encouraged to review these materials and to request information.
