Environmental Education & Outreach Internship - Portland Water District

The Portland Water District (PWD) is seeking an Environmental Education & Outreach Intern. You will help us prepare and deliver lesson materials to teachers, develop printed materials, support our TroutKids program, and participate in outreach events.

To be eligible you must have completed a minimum of one year of college coursework in environmental science, biology, education, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently enrolled and those with both education and environmental science coursework. You must possess a State of Maine driver’s license with a clean record, have the ability to interact professionally with a variety of audiences, and work both independently and as part of a team. You must be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs and be able to navigate Google drive. We’re looking for someone who is creative, flexible, and enthusiastic, with strong writing and organizational skills. A passion for people and the environment is key.
