Portland Water District Contributes $20,000 To Home Plumbing Assistance Program |

| Last night, the Portland Water District Board of Trustees continued their support of the Home Plumbing Assistance Program with a $20,000 contribution. The money will be used to help low-income residents repair leaks and install water saving devices.
Since the inception of the Home Plumbing Assistance Program, 550 households have been helped by over $380,000 contributed by the Portland Water District. The Program is administered by the People’s Regional Opportunity Program (PROP), which also administers the Portland Water District’s Low-Income Rate program. This year alone, nearly a thousand low-income customers will save approximately $62,400 through this program.
