Call of the Loon Workshop
Join the Portland Water District for an interesting and informative workshop about Maine’s most beloved water fowl, the loon.

Although we love loons, we threaten their survival and ability to reproduce. Through images, sounds, props, and discussion, Wildlife Biologist Camilla Fecteau will teach the life history traits of loons, the biggest risks to their success, and actions you can take to preserve their place on our lakes. All participants will receive loon-friendly lead-free sinkers to take home and the opportunity to become a Sebago Lake loon counter as part of this year’s Loon Project.

Space is limited
When: July 9, 2009 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Where: Sebago Lake Ecology Center- at the corner of Routes 237 and 35 in Standish
To register: Contact 774-5961 ext 3324 | sebagolake@pwd.org
