Environmental Education
Our efforts to protect local waterways and provide clean, fresh water to Maine citizens are paramount to the community. Because of the enormity and importance of the task, our efforts alone are not enough. Through education, we actively encourage customers and Lake Region citizens to be our partners in protecting environment.
The Portland Water District is dedicated to educating people about water, wastewater, and the environment. Our educational resources make it possible for you to become familiar with the processes of water and wastewater treatment and to understand more completely the challenges of providing high quality water and protecting the environment.
